'Tis the Season: To Celebrate Family
Hearts and Minds for Newtown
Finding the "right" words may seem impossible in the aftermath of the Newtown, CT shooting. Answering, "I don't know" may be very appropriate for awhile. In truth, we may never know why the shooter (name intentionally left out) committed such horrendous acts. But, the shooter is dead, and we must all focus on how to best explain this senseless act of violence to our children and find appropriate answers for ourselves. Click on the picture for brief but comprehensive advice on speaking to children about this tragedy.
A Word about Exceptional Minds
Hi and welcome to said.done. I am Mr. Lankford, the surprised, domestic-looking guy that you see on the left. Currently, I provide services for exceptional children in 4th-6th grades at a public charter school in Indianapolis, IN. said.done. or SD is designed as a multipurpose site where all members, of any education community, may find practical resources on subjects ranging from general civil rights to personalized progress reports. I consider the resources and services displayed here a natural extension of my professional practice. However, you will notice at different locations throughout SD, I try not to take myself too seriously. Additionally, I believe in transparent, real-life communication and leadership, so nothing on SD is sugar-coated. I hope you enjoy browsing SD as much as I enjoy maintaining it.
